"Less than 20 minutes after setting out the rigs, a 9-pound blue catfish proved that there was truth in Whitworth’s words, as one rod tip arched down toward the lake surface.

A short tussle later, the chunky blue was netted and brought into the boat. During the next two hours, seven more blues each tipping the scales at 9½ to 10 pounds, plus two others weighing in at 12 and 13 pounds, were landed in the darkness of a warm July night..."
